As Director of Online Marketing for the Division of Energy & Innovation, I lead digital strategy, user experience improvements, and web development efforts. I oversee a team including a full-time developer and student workers, collaborating closely with the communications team to identify priorities, make strategic decisions, and enhance team skills. I also share responsibility for managing the content management system, ensuring optimization, quality assurance, and ease of use for content managers and editors, including developing training resources to empower users.

Sr Web UX Developer

Mar 2024 – Oct 2024

I was responsible for analyzing website and form solutions, strategically planning and implementing improvements, and administering the content management system (CMS). I successfully proposed a CMS migration, developed a new design system for the new CMS, developed CMS training for content editors, and jump-started the website refresh initiative.

I started a new User Experience team, overseeing user experience for campus digital products, including research, content, design, development, and training. I am leading 2 full-time and 3 part-time staff within Information Technology to create user-centric solutions.

User Experience Developer

Sep 2022 – May 2023

In September 2022, my position shifted to Information Technology, where I contributed to the division realignment project. I enhanced technology processes by designing and conducting user research for technology acquisition request forms. Additionally, I conducted workshops to improve the IT service catalog in the customer service portal and developed a product catalog to streamline processes and reduce software duplication. I continued to support Finance and Operations within the IT department.

My position in Finance & Operations, as a Web & Media Developer, expanded role beyond web development to a one person UX Team. In addition to writing front-end code and designing, I actively engaged in user research and led workshops for complex forms and automated workflows. I also collaborated with Business Analysts to help departments select and maximize software.

Working for Finance & Operations, I overhauled web content for 24 departments with a focus on meeting internal audience needs and enhancing operational efficiency. This role required understanding of business processes and services to effectively write, organize, and design content.

Student Asst - Graphic Designer

Jan 2018 – Jun 2019

This role began as a vector map project for parking but evolved into web development and marketing for all of Public Safety Services. I successfully simplified complex parking systems for campus understanding through web development, mass emails, flyers, brochures, signage, and social media. Subsequently, I heightened campus security awareness by updating police content on the website, designing security and safety annual reports, and creating the Campus Security Authority form.
